Ashley Eckstein and Matt Lanter are Recording New Content

Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano are back! Or at least, we hope so.

Matt Lanter and Ashley Eckstein, the voices of the Star Wars characters, Anakin and Ahsoka, have come together again to record for a new, unknown Star Wars project. The pair has worked on multiple projects together in the past, including Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Disney Infinity 3.0, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars-Lightsaber Duels.

The last time Lanter and Eckstein worked together was back during season two of Rebels, which featured the once Master/Padawan pair dueling as enemies in an emotional fight on Malachor. Since then, Ahsoka's fate has been unknown and controversial among many Star Wars fans. Dave Filoni, the executive producer for the show, has since clarified that Ahsoka is in fact alive (and not a white wolf) and that she will return.

This latest news on the pair comes from Eckstein's official Twitter, where she tweeted a picture of the wo with the caption, "How can your Monday be UGH when you get to record with Matt Lanter in your Matt Lanter shirt???"

Fans, however, have been left in the dark as to what they are working on, although there are several theories already. It is possible they may be working on the final season of Rebels, which would make sense following their previous duel. However, it may be possible they are working on Star Wars: Forces of Destiny. This is an upcoming series of short videos that are a part of the canon universe across all eras. Since both are credited on the show's IMDB page, it is possible we may get to see more of the Master and Padawan side of their relationship. Or possibly more of the animosity between Vader and Ahsoka.

Whatever the project may be, Eckstein and Lanter have been very quiet regarding it. For now, fans will have to wait. Until then, check back here often for any more news surrounding yet another mystery for Star Wars fans.

Dave Filoni Clarifies the Future of Ahsoka Tano

Since the ending of season two for Star Wars: Rebels, many fans have been speculating on former Jedi Ahsoka Tano's fate. The season ended with a duel between the former Master/Padawan pair of Darth Vader and Ahsoka, and she was last seen walking deeper into the Sith temple. After that, nothing is known.

There have been many fan theories on Ahsoka's fate; some believed she simply died while others think she may carry on all the way into the upcoming Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. However, there are many who believe she transformed into a white wolf.

Series creator, Dave Filoni, has broken his silence on the debate with a tweet disclaiming this belief.

It might be my Birthday, but here is a gift, and perhaps a clarification, for you.
May the Force be with you!
- Dave
It is widely believed that season four will be the final season for the show, which leaves many questions about the fates of other characters as well, including Ezra, Kanan, and Sabine. Rogue One, however, did confirm that Hera Syndulla becomes a general in the Rebellion, and even Chopper makes an appearance. For now, Filoni has not shed some insight into the other characters' respective futures.

Star Wars: Rebels season four airs on Sept 23.

Star Wars Rebels Season 2: Dave Filoni Teases Of Upcoming Episode's Title And Characters

By: Justin Marsh

Clone Wars and Rebels creator, Dave Filoni stated that Star Wars Rebels Season 2 will return with new episodes starting in September, and that the first upcoming episode will be titled "The Lost Commanders". The episode features a return of the clone troopers CT-7567 ("Rex"), CC-3636 ("Wolffe") and CC-5576-39 ("Gregor") originally seen in the Star Wars:The Clone Wars series.

The Daily Dot posted a fantastic interview with the Executive Producer Dave Filoni yesterday in which he gave this cryptic description of an upcoming scene in season two.

Daily Dot: "Give me a nice cryptic tease of a specific event you’re really looking forward to fans seeing in season 2."

Filoni: "Ummm. Boy. I know exactly what it is. You know, it was interesting. I was, oddly, up at Skywalker Ranch [in Marin County, north of Lucasfilm's San Francisco offices], while Kathy [Kennedy] and J.J. [Abrams] were at Comic-Con doing their panel. I had the StarWars.com livestream updating on my computer while I was drawing and storyboarding probably one of the most critical things I've ever drawn and staged at my job at Lucasfilm. And I just found it to be a really interesting kind of crossover point, to see Kathy carrying forward this big movement of Star Wars now, and the fan excitement, and to be...literally I was drawing it in about the same place where I started Clone Wars in 2005.

[Lucasfilm] moved from the Ranch to Big Rock [a nearby studio] and then down to the Presidio [in San Francisco], but that day, because the Golden Gate Bridge was temporarily closed—they were doing some traffic changes—I went in and worked at the Ranch, which I hadn't done in a long time. And it just so happened that I was drawing this really, really, really, really, really, really, really important moment that I had turned over in my head many times, dealing with Ahsoka. And all this was happening on this same day.

I'll never forget that. That was really just a great day in my head for Star Wars. And I thought, "Wow, no one knows this is all happening." But I never would have thought, when I started in 2005, that I would be there 10 years later, not just working on what I was, in that moment, but also witnessing this forward future for Star Wars on a scale that I don't think any of us could have imagined in 2005.
It was kind of a nice point where all things came together for me. And that stuff that I staged, that particular scene, and everything surrounding it...I'm very excited for fans to see. That's going to be a big one. When it happens, you can ask me, you'll say, "Was this the thing?" and I'll say, "Yeah," and I can go into more detail about it.
Is that cryptic enough?"

So what does this mean for us Star Wars fans and what are a few things we should prepare ourselves for? Just in the first upcoming episode alone, we can expect to continue seeing more on Ezra's backstory for the most part, possible new Rebellion groups joining forces together with the main characters to spark the Rebel Alliance against the Empire to later connect with Episode IV: A New Hope, more possible appearances of Jedi master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and finally, a chilling dark duel between Lord Vader and his late apprentice, Ahsoka Tano.

Star Wars Rebels The Seige of Lothal

Star Wars Rebels
The Seige of Lothal

By: Cannon Adams

We have finally seen the premiere episode of Star Wars Rebels Season 2 on June 20th 2015. What a amazing episode. For those who have not seen the episode yet then STOP reading and go watch it either on the Disney XD mobile app or anywhere online.

Ok let me just get this out of the way. (Takes a deep breath, releases slowly) THE APPRENTICE LIVES! Ashoka Tano is back 100% as we all know after season 1 but now we are really going to be seeing tons of her now. Ashoka has been hiding with the rebellion fighters and went by the name Fulcrum the whole time. She is back and we will be seeing her more often once again like how we saw her in almost every episode of The Clone Wars but I just hope that we do not see her die in this season or the next. (DON'T YOU SAY THAT! TAKE THAT BACK!) I am not saying it will happen but we just never know where Dave Filoni will take Ashoka later down the road. For now let us enjoy seeing her once again.

So now senator Tua is dead, Kallus of course is still chasing Kanan and the ghost team, and now Vader is going after them. What was really awesome to see is when Kanan went up against Vader, but we all know who is the most powerful and more experienced in that match, but it was still cool because he was helping Ezra out. What I liked was when Vader used the force to hold up Ezra's lightsaber up against his neck. And most of all, when the AT-ST's fell on Vader and Vader lifted them up and was like (Psh really that is all you got?)

Now let's talk about Vader and Ashoka because that was the most important part of the show. During the scene when Vader was taking out the Rebel fleet all by himself (OMG SO AWESOME!) anyways, when Ashoka and Kanan both used the force and reached out to Vader's Tie Interceptor, Vader sensed Ashoka. Ashoka opens her eyes in shock and yells as she basically was overwhelmed and passed out and Vader saying "The apprentice lives". I was hoping before the episode aired that Dave Filoni and the team won't pull off a cheesy thing of Ashoka never knowing who Vader is until she actually confronts him in person or something, no that did not happen. What happened in the show I was amazed and really happy.

Now people can be mad at the fact that Ashoka did not tell Kanan and Ezra that Anakin Skywalker is Vader or this sith lord. The reasons why she kept that away from them now is most likely because she does not want them both to lose hope because of how a Jedi turned evil and went to the Sith. Eventually later down the road she will tell them, but for now until they are fighting more with the rebellion, she is keeping that away and also if they found out that Anakin was her former master, they might lose trust in her.

How many of you enjoyed the emperor? We didn't get to see him but Sam Witwer did an amazing job on the voice of the emperor. At first when I saw this episode during Celebration 7, I thought Ian McDiarmid came and reprised his role, but Sam Witwer did a fantastic job and we get to hear more from him as the emperor. Now are we going to see the return of Darth Maul? I mean come on he is not dead, Sidious said he has more use of him back during The Clone Wars series. But we need to wait and see. But first we now need to see Captain Rex.

Season 2 of Rebels started off fantastic once again but are we going to see more episodes during the summer? They did not mention another episode for the following week or anything. I bet we may have to wait until the fall season for the rest of season 2.
