Solo: A Star Wars Story Teaser Released

"So you wanna make a difference?"

"Yeah."

The long awaited teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story is here and now fans are expecting to see the full length trailer during Good Morning America on Feb 5.


Airing during Super Bowl LII, the teaser gave fans their first look at the movie, including Alden Ehrenreich's young Han Solo, Donald Glover's Lando Carissian, as well as two original characters played by actors Emilia Clark and Woody Harrelson. The teaser also featured interesting music, combining new age music with original Star Wars theme, giving this movie an unique feeling compared to the other movies in the franchise. With the movie expected to hit theaters on the 41st anniversary of the release of A New Hope, this is seen by some as long overdue.

The road to Solo thus far has been rocky, to say the least. With previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller leaving the project after two years to new director Ron Howard reshooting much of the film, fans are skeptical of the final result. However, head of LucasFilm Kathleen Kennedy is seems confident in the film. "We have a wonderful script, an incredible cast and crew, and the absolute commitment to make a great movie," Kennedy said.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is expected to hit theaters on May 25 and will star Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clark, Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Paul Bettany, and Thandie Newton.

Untitled Han Solo Movie Has Its Name

The time has come, Nerds. The official name for the Han Solo movie is here.

Director Ron Howard, has revealed the name in an announcement today, Oct 17, in a surprise announcement that has also revealed that principal photography has finished. The movie is titled Solo:A Star Wars Story.

This announcement came as a surprise to many fans and has set to rest the many rumors surrounding the name of the film.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will take place before episode four and is it likely to start after the events of episode three. It is set to be released May 25, 2018.

Rian Johnson Confirms DJ isn't Ezra Bridger

Sorry Rebels fans, it looks like Ezra Bridger is not the last Jedi in Episode Eight.

Since it was confirmed that actor Benecio Del Toro was cast for The Last Jedi, many fan theories have been circulating, including the idea that Del Toro's character, DJ, is secretly Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger from the TV show, Star Wars: Rebels. Fans of the show now have to go back to speculating, as director Rian Johnson has confirmed that the two characters are different people.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Johnson was asked about the identity of DJ and the possibility of him being Ezra. "Oh, Ezra from Rebels? He's his own person, he's his own person," Johnson said.

Johnson went on the say that DJ is "what we call him" and that DJ does indeed stand for something.

Fans can find out for certain who DJ is by watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi in theaters December 15.

Ashley Eckstein and Matt Lanter are Recording New Content

Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano are back! Or at least, we hope so.

Matt Lanter and Ashley Eckstein, the voices of the Star Wars characters, Anakin and Ahsoka, have come together again to record for a new, unknown Star Wars project. The pair has worked on multiple projects together in the past, including Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Disney Infinity 3.0, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars-Lightsaber Duels.

The last time Lanter and Eckstein worked together was back during season two of Rebels, which featured the once Master/Padawan pair dueling as enemies in an emotional fight on Malachor. Since then, Ahsoka's fate has been unknown and controversial among many Star Wars fans. Dave Filoni, the executive producer for the show, has since clarified that Ahsoka is in fact alive (and not a white wolf) and that she will return.

This latest news on the pair comes from Eckstein's official Twitter, where she tweeted a picture of the wo with the caption, "How can your Monday be UGH when you get to record with Matt Lanter in your Matt Lanter shirt???"

Fans, however, have been left in the dark as to what they are working on, although there are several theories already. It is possible they may be working on the final season of Rebels, which would make sense following their previous duel. However, it may be possible they are working on Star Wars: Forces of Destiny. This is an upcoming series of short videos that are a part of the canon universe across all eras. Since both are credited on the show's IMDB page, it is possible we may get to see more of the Master and Padawan side of their relationship. Or possibly more of the animosity between Vader and Ahsoka.

Whatever the project may be, Eckstein and Lanter have been very quiet regarding it. For now, fans will have to wait. Until then, check back here often for any more news surrounding yet another mystery for Star Wars fans.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi to be Released Early in the U.K.

Congratulations Nerds in the U.K.; Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released December 14 to U.K. theaters.

A report from Radio Times has announced that the long awaited sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available for fans' viewing pleasure one day before those who currently live in the United States. Fans, however, should note that the earliest premiere of the movie will be December 13 in Sweden, France, Italy, Norway, and the Netherlands.

This comes as no surprise, especially considering that both Rogue One and The Force Awakens were released a day early in the United States.

With the early release, fans should avoid social media on from December 13 to the 14 to prevent spoilers from excited fans in these areas.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to be released December 14 in the U.K. and December 15 everywhere else.

Star Wars Rebels Season 3 CONFIRMED!

It has just been confirmed that the Ghost team will continue to fight the Empire for season 3! Disney XD ordered another season of Rebels from LucasFilm and is currently in production! Senior Vice President Marc Buhaj has announced that season 3 will come and will premier in 2016. Buhaj said in making the announcement:

 “We are proud to bring our audience a third season of Star Wars Rebels, a series that has resonated across generations.” Buhaj added, “The creative team behind the series continues to do a brilliant job in delivering on the key tenets that fans have come to expect from a Star Wars property including adventure, hope and the battle between good vs. evil.”

TV Guide Magazine  is releasing a special issue with Rebels on the front cover with the iconic villian Darth Vader and also some extensive Star Wars features which will hit stands on Thursday December 3rd.

 “We’re very proud of our incredibly creative Rebels team. The show continues to tell fun, heartfelt, exciting new Star Wars stories week after week, and it’s beloved by fans of all ages. Season Three will see our rebel heroes face new obstacles and find new allies in their fight against the Empire.”

Will season 3 promise more returning characters since we have back our favorite Captain Rex with Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe? Rumor has it that Darth Maul was supposed to return but season 2 is not finished yet so hopefully we continue to see his story continue!

Star Wars Website To Attempt A Strike At The Heart Of Disney

A fancy-dress retailer is appealing against a ruling that they must surrender its starwars.co.uk web domain to Disney. For more than a decade, the Berkshire-based company has used the address to direct shoppers to a Star Wars section of its Jokers' Masquerade store. But in July, Nominet, which oversees .uk domains, backed Disney's ownership claim.

The costume store's parent company, Abscissa, was also told to give up an additional six domain names used for the same purpose as the StarWars.co.uk was:

star-wars.co.uk

starwarsco.uk

starwarsco.co.uk

star-warsco.co.uk

When spoken to, the Chief executive Mark Lewis, said that Abscissa had used both of these addresses for more than 12 years without being hassle. The following is what he told BBC News.

"I can't believe that over the last two decades that someone from either Lucasfilm or Disney did not do a WhoIs [search] and find that that starwars.co.uk and star-wars.co.uk were not registered to them,"

"There has to be a point in time, surely, where a registrant has to be able to hold some title."

"We cannot find any case where a complainant lets a domain lapse, then files a complaint," he said. "I believe this case sets a precedent." 

Lewis also added that since the year prior of 2003, the website was under the ownership of LucasFilm but was not renewed for reasons unknown. He also stated that he did not ever come to suspect that they would be involved in any type of a legal engagement between any company let alone Disney if Nominet did not give a much shorter "Name.uk" domain last year. Nominet;s initial ruliing are determined by single expert, but it appeals go to a three-person panel.
