Battlefront's Game-play Launch Trailer REVEALED!

This morning, EA posted their final gameplay trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront! Showing everything from Walker Assault Mode to Fighter Squadron, it was jam packed with information and awesome action.

The trailer opens on Tatooine and a voice over by Sam Witwer as the Emperor: "It is unavoidable. We will witness the destruction of the Alliance and the end of this insignificant Rebellion."

Sounding haunting as ever, Witwer voiced the Emperor in the Force Unleashed game series as well. He adds a creepiness to the voice that is unparalleled by any who came before him. Aside from his great performance, he is also a great guy and a big Star Wars fan. I had a chance to meet with him and talk to him at Star Wars Celebration this past April. He loves Star Wars and it shows through his work. Sitting in the same room with him as we experienced the Star Wars gameplay trailer reveal at the convention and seeing the joy that it brought him was awesome.

Throughout the trailer we also get our first glimpse at many of the playable alien races such as Twi'leks, Sullustans, Rodians, Quarren, Zabraks, and Duros. I was actually suprised with the amount of differing human character faces as well! 

Along with the numerous character choices, all of the heroes were showcased as well. We got to hear some of their diologue and see some of their powers in action, from the Emperors Force Lightning, to Boba Fett's flamethrower, and Princess Leia's squad abilities. All of these powers look awesome and look like they all have a great use within the game.

We only have a few more weeks (20 days to be exact), until the game launches, so be ready to live out all of your Star Wars fantasies! See you on the Battlefield.

Exclusive: EA's Star Wars Battlefront Beta Date Revealed!

When EA revealed Star Wars Battlefront back on April for Celebration 7 in Anaheim California, the world was stunned as to the details of the game and the Star Wars feel in Battlefront. Fans have been asking for months now "When is the Beta going to release?" Well the answer has finally come from EA. 

The Beta is set to release early October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Origin. According to official EA website for Battlefront, the Beta is a technical test and will feature Walker Assault on Hoth which is a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring the Rebels and the Empire. Walker Assault will also give you the chance to play the 2 most iconic characters in the Star Wars Universe, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. The Beta will also feature a survival mission on Tatooine where you and a friend fight back waves of imperial forces. The Beta also gives us a brand new mode called Drop Zone. No other details about drop zone as of yet. 

Like all the other past EA/DICE games with the Battlefield franchise, Star Wars Battlefront will also be getting it's very own Companion App. The companion app will feature a strategic card Base Command. The app also lets Rebels and Imperials check game stats and progression, customize load-outs, appearances, connect with friends, and get notifications when your friends are playing Star Wars Battlefront. The app will be available on the web and in the Apple App Store and Google Play store prior to the release of Star Wars Battlefront on November 17th. 

So finally we get word of the release of the Beta test on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for early October. The next news we should hear about which may come after the Beta is released or maybe later this September is the announcement of the Star Wars Battlefront Collectors Edition. We want that statue of whatever it is, we want concept art book, its been 10 years of suffering, we fans deserve it. Don't forget to pre-order your copy of Battlefront at your local GameStop store and receive this limited quantity poster when you pick up the game on November 17th.
