Battlefront II DLC Will Include Last Jedi Content

It's the most wonderful season of the year; Star Wars season. With Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: Battlefront II set to release very soon, it should come as a welcome surprise that the game will have content from the movie.

Publisher EA announced today that the first release of new and free content will feature both heroes and locations from the upcoming film days before The Last Jedi releases in theaters. The game will also add two multiplayer locations on Crait, one for Starfighter Assault and one for ground battle. Resistance players will also have to option to pilot a new ship, called Tallie Lintra's modified A-Wing. This is likely from the upcoming film. Lastly, the game will receive an update to the single player campaign on Dec 13 regarding Commander Iden Versio's story line and heroes Finn and Captain Phasma will be added.

On Dec 5, Battlefront 11 will also begin to encourage players to chose a side, either Resistance or First Order, by enabling challenges that grant faction-related rewards. Factions with the most points during a week will earn high-powered upgrade crates for their respective heroes, either Finn or Phasma.

As promised by EA, all content released post-launch will be free to play. Players can receive a 10-hour head start to play the game if players join Origins Access or EA Access.

Battlefront 11 will be available on Nov 17 and The Last Jedi hits theaters on Dec 15.

The game developers have also revamped the vehicle system and will allow players to take control of a wider array of vehicles, both on the ground and in the sky.

Get Your FIRST look at the Battle of Jakku!

By: David Sanchez

With just a little under two weeks before the release of Star Wars: Battlefront, we are finally getting our first look at the first piece of free DLC, The Battle of Jakku!

Looking somewhat similar to Tatooine, but with more expansive and flats deserts, Jakku looks to offer bigger debris filled maps hopefully suited to game modes like Supremacy and Walker Assault. From the trailer it looks as though there will be a great many things happening at once, and it will be hard to take my eyes off all of the gorgeous commotion!

While this is a one map free DLC, this will unfortunately (or not?) be the only free DLC for Battlefront's Season Pass which is $50. It does sound a bit steep, but the season pass includes: 4 upcoming "expansion" packs filled with new content, two-week early access, and the "shoot first" emote.

Star Wars: Battlefront is set to release on November  17! See you on the battlefront.

Battlefront's Game-play Launch Trailer REVEALED!

By: David Sanchez

This morning, EA posted their final gameplay trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront! Showing everything from Walker Assault Mode to Fighter Squadron, it was jam packed with information and awesome action.

The trailer opens on Tatooine and a voice over by Sam Witwer as the Emperor: "It is unavoidable. We will witness the destruction of the Alliance and the end of this insignificant Rebellion."

Sounding haunting as ever, Witwer voiced the Emperor in the Force Unleashed game series as well. He adds a creepiness to the voice that is unparalleled by any who came before him. Aside from his great performance, he is also a great guy and a big Star Wars fan. I had a chance to meet with him and talk to him at Star Wars Celebration this past April. He loves Star Wars and it shows through his work. Sitting in the same room with him as we experienced the Star Wars gameplay trailer reveal at the convention and seeing the joy that it brought him was awesome.

Throughout the trailer we also get our first glimpse at many of the playable alien races such as Twi'leks, Sullustans, Rodians, Quarren, Zabraks, and Duros. I was actually suprised with the amount of differing human character faces as well!

Along with the numerous character choices, all of the heroes were showcased as well. We got to hear some of their diologue and see some of their powers in action, from the Emperors Force Lightning, to Boba Fett's flamethrower, and Princess Leia's squad abilities. All of these powers look awesome and look like they all have a great use within the game.

We only have a few more weeks (20 days to be exact), until the game launches, so be ready to live out all of your Star Wars fantasies! See you on the Battlefield.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on Xbox One, PS4, and on PC, on November 17!

EA's Star Wars Battlefront Does Not Share "A Single System” With The Battlefield Series

By: Justin Marsh

As we get more and more closer to the release date of EA's and DICE's Battlefront, the more we'ere convinced of purchasing the game due to all of it's included content as well as the opportunities that we are getting out of it. Alongside the recently revealed Supremacy super-matches and the flying death machine that is Boba Fett, DICE is proving it doesn't need the military mayhem of Battlefield to make an addictive shooter. In fact, it turns out new Star Wars FPS doesn't any systems with DICE's main franchise.

This is what the official Playstation magazine had to comment on this:

"I don’t think we have a single system in the game that is the same as in Battlefield,” DICE’s general manager Patrick Bach explains in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine. “They are as far apart as any shooter would be to any other shooter. I think people will be surprised that it’s even a DICE game in some cases, but I think that the quality of the game and the quality of the audio, the visuals, the emotion it evokes will hopefully feel very DICE."

Exclusive: New Artwork Of EA's Star Wars: Battlefront Revealed

By: Cannon Adams

How many of you Star Wars fans are excited for Star Wars: Battlefront? Don't forget to go to your local Gamestop and place your pre-order. A couple Battlefront images just released showing artwork of The Battle of Jakku mission. The Battle of Jakku releases on December 8th (December 1st if you have the game pre-ordered).

Here is a Quote from EA Games themselves:
“We are proud to give you a first visual glimpse of The Battle of Jakku, coming to Star Wars™ Battlefront™ on December 1st, 2015, for all who pre-order, and a week later for all other game holders. The Battle of Jakku was the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet.”

“Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™.”

“There’s a David and Goliath theme to this,” says Grandert. “The epic, huge super structures of the Star Destroyers contrast against the tiny but brave Rebel soldiers fighting the Imperial forces.”
“We wanted to portray a battle completely surrounding you, in every direction. Debris is falling from the sky, telling the story of battles above. On the surface of the planet you can see ground troops as well as X-wings, all taking part of the fight,” Grandert says.”
A lot of fans are not happy with Battlefront right now because of its lack of single player missions. Like the old saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. Star Wars Battlefront is set to release on November 17th and the Battle of Jakku releases on December 1st if you have pre-ordered the game and December 8th for everyone else.
