Spark of the Rebellion Summary

The intro opener to Star Wars Rebels Spark of the Rebellion season 1 premier opened up with Darth Vader and the Inquisitor. Vader informed that the Jedi are all extinct but a new problem rose up, the children of the force. These children are most likely born through the force without having parents being force sensitive. Vader requests that the Inquisitor must hunt them down and destroy them. Then we meet our main rebel character Ezra Bridger.

What we know straight off the bat from Ezra is that he is one of the children of the force that Vader mentions in the beginning because before our other Rebel heroes Kanan Jarrus, Sabin Wren, and Zeb Orrelios, Ezra sensed another force sensitive person, and that person is Kanan Jarrus who also felt a force sensitive person. To me that was amazing to see because we know off the bat that Kanan Jarrus is force sensitive. Then it was off to steal some cargo from the Empire that carried blaster rifles. Ezra steals a speeder with one box crate of blasters and later ends up joining Kanan and his team in their ship called The Ghost when a set of Tie Fighters came to kill them. Got away safely. 

In the next scene when The Ghost team flees the planet of Lothal, we meet 2 new characters. We meet Chopper which is a funny droid that we all are loving, and Hera Syndulla. They escaped the pursuit and by jumping to lightspeed. Back on Lothal we meet a new character, Agent Kallus. He investigates the attack from the stolen crates and now he is on the hunt for these "Rebels".

Ezra and the Ghost team returns to Lothal and they go to this small poor town called Tarkin Town. The town was named after Grand Moff Tarkin when the Empire invaded farm lands on Lothal and the Empire drove them out. Kanan and the team supplied these people with food, and later took the weapons crates to a crime lord named Vizago for money. Vizago informs them about a imperial vessel carrying captured Wookies. Ezra sensed something that he needed to find on the ship. He enters Kanan's room and finds a mysterious box and a lightsaber, activates the lightsaber and Kanan catches him. Kanan received the lightsaber back but Ezra kept the box. Kanan knew he had the box but did that on purpose for something big later to happen from Ezra with that box. 

The Ghost team finds the imperial vessel pretending they have captured wookie as a bounty and must dock with the small vessel for transfer, of course it was lies to get onto the vessel. Kanan, Sabine, and Zeb enters the vessel and searches for the captured Wookies. Ezra sensed and figured out that Kanan, Sabine, and Zeb were walking into a trap so he runs to Kanan from the Ghost ship to tell them. They fought against stormtroopers and they were all making their way back to the Ghost. Zeb pushed back Ezra before entering the Ghost as to be mean, but Zeb's actions caused Ezra to be captured from the Empire in the hands of Agent Kallus. The Ghost left the vessel, jumps to lightspeed, and the whole team discovers Ezra is missing and Zeb tells them. 

Ezra was taken to an Imperial Star Destroyer in a prison cell room and pulled out the box he stole from Kanan and looks at it. He then tosses the box to the wall, sits on the bed as in meditating, and the box is lifted through the force and opens and the box turns out to be like a holocron with a message. "This is master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place".

Ezra later finds a way to escape the cell by tricking 2 stormtroopers and entrapped the toopers in the cell. The troopers called it in to Agent Kallus that the kid escaped, now he needs to find Ezra. 

The Ghost team goes to the Imperial Star Destoyer to rescue Ezra and it was an easy find because Ezra just shows up out of no where in front of them through a air duct. The Ghost team fought the Empire in a blaster fight and made it off of the Star Destroyer. Ezra then tells Kanan and the team where the Empire is taking the Wookies. They were taking them to the Spice Mines of Kessel where slaves are sent there but they don't last long. So the Ghost team is on their way to Kessel to save some Wookies. No we do not meet Chewbacca sadly. 

On Kessel we see the wookies coming off of transport vessels. Blinded by a mysterious light in the sky, the Ghost ship soars through the clouds firing upon the stormtroopers. Kanan, Ezra, Sabine and Zeb exits the Ghost ship and attacks the Empire on foot. Now this is the most important scene of this episode. When boarding the wookies on the Ghost, Agent Kallus and the Empire in a ship fired upon the Ghost ship so Hera had to fly away. Couple wookies did not enter the Ghost so they took cover from the Empire. The imperial ship landed and Agent Kallus a squad of stormtroopers exited the ship and fired upon Kanan, Ezra, Zeb and Sabine and the wookies. Kanan had no choice but to surprise the crowd. He walks towards Agent Kallus and the stormtroopers, pulls out a lightsaber, activates it, and gets into a Jedi stance. Kanan Jarrus was once a Jedi. Agent Kallus looks stunned, probably never seen a Jedi before and says to the stormtroopers "All troopers focus your fire on...... The Jedi".

As Zeb and the wookies back away more from the fight and put them in a storage type box for the Ghost to pick them up later, Ezra notices that the older wookie was reaching out to child wookie who fled across the battle to hide. Ezra felt that he should go save the little wookie so he runs after him while Kanan fought hard to deflect blaster fire. Ezra chased the little wookie, Agent Kallus took notice of the kid. A stormtooper chased the small wookie and Ezra chased them both, and ezra attacked the stormtrooper on a bridge type platform and then enters Agent Kallus. Agent Kallus and Ezra exchanged words about how Ezra is working for these Rebels and Ezra tells him he works alone, then Kanan enters by saying "Not this time" to Ezra and we see Kanan on top of the ghost ship. Kallus fires upon Kanan, Kanan deflects and knocks Kallus off the platform and luckily Kallus grabbed hold onto the bridge leg. Ezra and the little wookie enters the Ghost ship and leaves Kessel with the other rescued wookies.

On the Ghost, the wookies thanked Ezra and the team for rescuing them. Once the wookies debarked their shuttle from the Ghost, Kanan walks by Ezra and Ezra stole his lightsaber once again once the Ghost shook from the departure of both ships. Back on Lothal, Kanan and the team drops Ezra back off and while Ezra walks off the Ghost ramp, Kanan says "I believe you have something that belongs to me". Ezra only gave him back the holocron box and Ezra runs back home to his tower. Kanan's question was answered with the opened holocron that Ezra was force sensitive and goes to Ezra's home. Kanan offers him a life opportunity to join the team to help others and be trained the ways of the force from Kanan or stay home with Kanan's lightsaber. Ezra joins them. 

Back on the Ghost, Kanan sat in his room and opens the holocron message of Obi-Wan Kenobi. You can listen to that message in the link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbAS9F9V-fs. Ezra enters Kanan's room and returns the lightsaber to Kanan and Ezra's training shall proceed. At the end scene on a Star Destroyer, Agent Kallus holo calls the Inquisitor to inform him of the events with these Rebels and informs him one of them is a Jedi. The Inquisitor tells Kallus that he did well to call upon him, so now the Inquisitor is involved deeply.
