Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer 2 Breakdown

The Force Awakens
Trailer 2 Breakdown

Thursday April 16, 2015 was the biggest day in history and for the internet meltdown of the release of the second trailer of The Force Awakens. At Celebration 7 in Anaheim California when the trailer was revealed during The Force Awakens panel, the amount of users on the internet was so high to where the internet servers could have crashed. Everyone around the world was pumped and excited to see the new trailer because it was going to reveal a bunch of new information that we have been wanting since the release of the first teaser trailer back on Thanksgiving Day in 2014. I am going to go through the breakdown of this new trailer here below and show some pictures of the scenes of the trailer.

Desert Planet of Jakku

The beginning of the trailer we see a really interesting piece. We see a speeder speeding across the desert planet of Jakku (Not Tatooine) and as the picture is in motion we see a old T-65 X-Wing, and a Imperial Star Destroyer crashed into the desert. So this obviously shows that there was a battle from some time ago after Return of The Jedi that the Rebellion was still fighting off what remained of the Empire after when the second Death Star was destroyed above the forest moon of Endor. Now let me show you another interesting picture that is not from this trailer.
Battlefront: Battle of Jakku

In the upcoming game Battlefront that is set to release on November 17, 2015, we are going to be playing and knowing more about The Battle of Jakku that you see of the aftermath in the new The Force Awakens Trailer. You can see the Star Destroyer in the background on the upper right the same way you see it in the trailer, then you see below that a firery crash which could be in fact that old T-65 X-Wing. Now what is really interesting is that we see the most iconic character of all, Boba Fett. Questions are raising, why is Boba Fett there? Is he only a hero character that Battlefront is known for to play as a hero or villain on a map? Or is Boba Fett ALIVE? EA confirmed that The Battle of Jakku bonus DLC map that is to be released for free on December 8th and if you have pre-ordered the game then the DLC for pre-order's release on December 1st, is part of the Star Wars Canon timeline. In fact, Star Wars Battlefront is Canon along side the Star Wars timeline. So with that being said here is my question. Of all the characters of hero or villains to play as for The Battle of Jakku, why did EA choose Boba Fett to be in it? In my opinion, I believe is because Boba Fett made it out of the Sarlacc Pit and that HE IS ALIVE! How cool would that be?

"The force is strong in my family. My father has it"

After the Jakku scene, we now get to listen to Luke Skywalker talk his lines from the Return of the Jedi movie when he was talking to Leia on Endor before he leaves to meet Vader. When he says the line "The force is strong in my family. My father has it", we see the burned mask of Darth Vader from when Luke burned the body of Darth Vader aka Anakin Skywalker. We might be seeing something in the future plot that might involve with Vader's helmet because this was rumored a while back ago in concept art showing someone or it was Vader himself holding up his burned destroyed mask. Now since concept art revealed itself to be true, I wonder what JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy is going with this. Are we going to know more about Vader than what we don't already know? Is this new sith seeking power from this mask? Or is this just the nostalgia they decide to put in for the teaser to entice us fans? We are interested.

" I have it"

This new scene we see the famous R2-D2 returning for his 7th appearance along with a cloaked character. This scene Luke says the line "I have it" so we can assume that the cloaked character is Luke Skywalker because he is very close to R2 like Anakin was and also this character has a robotic right hand which Luke does have a robotic right hand. So in my opinion, this is Luke Skywalker.

"My sister has it"

This has to be when Leia gets her lightsaber or a padawan showing Leia a lightsaber we are not sure. But this woman who is receiving this lightsaber we can assume it is Leia Skywalker because of the line "My sister has it" referring that she has the power of a Jedi.

For the next line Luke says "You have that power too" which of course this was directed to Leia in Return of the Jedi when she finds out she is his sister, but for the trailer I think it is telling that to the fans of Star Wars because of our support for the franchise and our starvation for more stories.

This scene we see another glimpse of the new T-70 X-Wing's flying and actor Oscar Isaac yelling with excitement. Nothing much on that scene other than awesomeness.

Kylo Ren

Now we finally get to see a little more of the new sith. His name is Kylo Ren and of course is the new threat to the galaxy. In the second picture of Kylo Ren we finally get to see what he looks like but it is only a mask. This mask looks awesome and you can now tell he is an ancient sith because no other sith in the modern times of Star Wars before Vader died, wore a mask. Now we get a new sith with a mask and an ancient lightsaber relic. So this has to be a resurrected sith from the Old Republic Era. The mask looks almost identical to the mask of Darth Revan.
Darth Revan

The First Order

Next scene we see after Daisy Ridley and John Boyega running for their lives of an explosion, we see The First Order. Now these are Stormtroopers yes, but they are no longer The Empire. The Empire has been defeated after the events of Return of the Jedi. There is a logo on a red tapestry that kind of looks like that Sarlacc Pit to me, but this is a new order that might be more worse than The Empire. The person standing there in the middle in front of the new logo is cloaked wearing black. This person is currently unknown but this could be Kylo Ren leading The First Order.

I find this interesting where a Tie Fighter is shooting at Stormtroopers. Now why would a Tie Fighter be shooting his own people? Look at the picture below:
John Boyega as Finn

This scene of Finn looks to be the same scene as that Tie Fighter shooting at the Stormtroopers. He might have realized that joining this First Order was a bad decision and he wants out of it. So the person in the Tie Fighter that is shooting, could be Finn making his escape from The First Order. How interesting!

Introducing new ships is always welcomed in my opinion. This looks to be a new Star Destroyer for The First Order and some new smaller craft ships that are unknown.

This guy looks very interesting and dangerous. He is also unknown currently but he is acting as a super soldier because of his chrome like armor and his cloak. This could be a bounty hunter of The First Order.

John Boyega (Finn) accepts the hand of Daisy Ridley (Rey). This could be a scene of the start of their friendship so these 2 character will play a big role in this movie.

This scene shows a Tie Fighter chasing after the Millennium Falcon through a destroyed Star Destroyer engine probably the ship or of another ship on the planet Jakku. Now the pilot in the Tie Fighter chasing the Falcon is also interesting because his armor looks chrome as well. Could this chrome pilot be the same chrome trooper I just mentioned about a couple pictures ago? If it is the same person, this guy has it out for the Falcon. Question at that point will be why? Could it be Boba Fett in a new armor chasing after Han Solo for revenge? That is yet to be shown.

And last but not least!
"Chewie, we're home"

This scene brought the goosebumps out of my arms! This scene had me cheering for joy seeing Han and Chewie once again. Notice their pose?
The pose is similar from the old to the new, but it still brings some nostalgia to its finest.

This trailer showed some amazing things and now again we are starving for more. I hope you all enjoyed this breakdown review of the new The Force Awakens trailer and we hope to see some more during the course of months to the movie release. The Force Awakens opens in theaters world wide on December 18, 2015.
