Exclusive: Star Wars: The Force Awakens To Be Referenced In Season 9 Of The Big Bang Theory

As Star Wars: The Force Awakens CRAWLS closer for its release, there is no surprise that this hit TV series will be making yet another Star Wars episode. Star Wars always has a high presence in the TV series The Big Bang Theory each season. The one problem the TV show writers are having a problem is how are they going to squeeze the episode into the series. 

Executive Producer Steve Molaro told TVLine: 

 "We’re talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys’] lives, and we have some really cool ideas."

Steve Molaro believes that it would not make sense for the show not to reference Star Wars: The Force Awakens because throughout the years,  Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj have always mentioned Star Wars whether it is the movies, owning Star Wars merchandise like bed sheets, lightsabers, posters, shirts and hair products. Actress Carrie Fisher and actor James Earl Jones have made appearances in the show as well. Mentioning or referencing Star Wars has become an iconic ritual for the show over the years, they cannot pass up referencing The Force Awakens, as long as they don't give potential spoilers, the show will fit in references or a full Star Wars show for this coming season.

Steve Molano also says this:

 "Obviously, we’re all excited about it, just as human beings — and the characters are as well. I don”t know exactly how it’s going to play in, but it won’t be ignored."

This should bring excitements for both The Big Bang Theory and Star Wars fans all at once. CBS' 9th season of The Big Bang Theory premiers September 21st, followed by the release of The Force Awakens on December 18th.
