The particular airport, which signed a five-year promotion license contract with the Walt Disney Co. in April, said the Star Wars flights will have headrest covers, napkins, cups and in-flight decorations featuring the entire saga's characters. Star Wars movies will be included as part of the in-flight entertainment system for the first time in the world as well, ANA tells us.
This is what Osamu Shinobe, president of All Nippon Airways had to tell us in his statement:
"We look forward to providing our passengers with an engaging in-flight experience as they travel our planet."
ANA had introduced its airplane featuring the iconic R2-D2 droid from the film in April. One of the designs unveiled Tuesday will feature the new droid BB-8, which is to appear in The Force Awakens this December, opening later this year. The second new design will be a combination of the two droids. Some of the three Star Wars-themed jetliners will also operate on international routes, once complete.
