Disneyland Diamond 60th Celebration Star Wars R2-D60 Figure

Disneyland Diamond 60th Celebration
Star Wars R2-D60 Figure

By: Cannon Adams

So a friend of mine sends me a picture of this Disney Diamond Celebration exclusive R2 figure for the 60th anniversary so I had to get one as well for my collection. I am not much of a fan when it comes to Disney Star Wars toys but when it comes to Astromech's and collectors editions, I can not pass up.

The figure is well detailed. The figure has blue and silver paint colors to represent the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration and the head is frosted head style dome. The figure card is just like The Vintage Collection, on the back has details of the Astromech Droid and some pretty cool blue prints of the droid. On the front apparently this R2 droid comes from Coruscant. What I really like as well is that how they show what each of the Astromech Droid parts are. Here is what it says on the back of the card for its details of the droid:

"R2-D60 is unlike any other Astromech droid in the galaxy. As a spy for the Rebel Alliance, R2-D60 lives on Coruscant and serves different members of the Imperial Senate. His droid build is similar to other classic R-series droids, but features a frosted R2-style dome and a silver metallic paint finish. Join R2-D60 on his adventure across the galaxy.
May the Force be with you.....and your Droids!

This Astromech Droid figure was created to commemorate 60 years of magic at the Disneyland Resort."

And to authenticate this collectors edition, there is a silver diamond sticker on the top right side of the front of the card that says Disneyland 60 available for a limited time. The figure cost $12.95 and this is worth getting if you are a big time fan of Astromech Droids. Get this figure while you can. If you visit the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California, visit the Star Traders store located between Space Mountain and Star Tours. For the Disney Florida Resort you may want to call in and ask them where you can get your hands on one of these droids.
