Here is the most asked question from the whole Star Wars universe that has been asked a million times, Who Shot First? All the debates, frustrations, arguments that has carried on since 1977 may have been answered today after 38 years. Over the years to 2015 there has been many re-releases of the Star Wars movies with additive scenes or changes, more CGI, and the best part of all Han Solo vs Greedo.
Han vs Greedo In The Cantina |
In the 1977 version of A New Hope, it was really hard to see exactly if Han shot Greedo first in the Cantina on Tatooine. The scene was slightly altered to make it look that Han was defending himself from Greedo after when Greedo "shot first" and then over the years of re-releases it showed that Han shot first or at the same time. Oh the madness of Star Wars!
It appears today that question may have been finally answered once and for all when librarian Kristian Brown found what you would call the original Star Wars script hidden in his library at New Brunswick Library . The script is dated March 15th, 1976. Brown made a statement to CBCNews "I'll tell you one thing, right now based on the script, I can tell you 100%, Han shot first". Brown has been going through the libraries Science Fiction collection to digitize the collection of zines and novels and ended up stumbling upon this dusty old script with this statement "I was just looking actually for something else entirely and then I just found this unique looking item". Picture of Kristian Brown below holding what appears to be that original script has confirmed the 38 year old conspiracy of who shot first.
